This sites talks about real haunted places.. My name is Mary Briggeman and I’ll be honest, you really don’t need to know much about me, other than that I’m an avid genealogist with a serious history in history. I also happen to like learning about haunted places, which brings us back to the purpose of this site. You see, I’m picky. The only places I really care about have actual reasons to be haunted. Or at least they appear that way. So those are the types of sites that I try to include on this site.
There are lots of sites online that talk about haunted places. Most of those sites cover the best known places. But very few of them talk about the reasons or history behind the hauntings. And even fewer have much of anything to say about the people affected, both the haunters and the hauntees.
And that brings me to look into some of the reasons that places become haunted. Generally, haunted places are those where some form of trauma or tragedy results in death. Think untimely deaths, or unfinished business of whatever form.
